Atmospheric, Music for the New Environment


Weave an ever changing tapestry of sounds and styles with Atmospheric, Music for the New Environment. 
This creative ensemble includes six extremely talented musicians and performers led by violinist 
Katherine Hughes, and woodwind players Kevin Kizer and Marc Perlish.


Imagine as your guests arrive for cocktails that they are greeted by contemporary Jazz music—or
 a chamber ensemble. As they continue to dinner, the smaller configurations that Atmospheric provides
 create a fascinating variety of styles and textures.


Later, as your guests are ready for a change of pace, the full ensemble performs. Atmospheric incorporates 
electric and acoustic violin, two multiple woodwind players, drums, percussion, bass, and a myriad of innovative 
musical toys. An integrated sound designer enhances the group’s presentation. In a fluid and almost 
organic manner, the musicians perform a unique blend of World, Latin, Indian, Mediterranean, Afro-Cuban, 
Jazz, and Contemporary music.


In addition to providing seamless musical connections between selections and sets, the sound designer can also 
provide music for the early arrival of your guests, and close the party with dance music.


A member of Atmospheric will meet with you to discuss how best to blend their music with the event.  Your input
 and Atmospheric’s expertise combine to produce the perfectly suited music for your guests.


The ensemble will provide three hours of continuous entertainment that blends exquisitely with the 
visual elements and lighting effects of the room. It is an environmental musical experience with a 
contemporary lounge sensibility.
